New Institutional Accreditation
Institutional Accreditation at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties aims to provide and harness all administrative, educational, and clinical resources in the training centers for the postgraduate professional healthcare programs (General Board Certificate, Subspecialty Fellowship, or Health Professional Diploma) supervised by the Commission. As a result, it creates an ideal learning environment based on health education principles for both trainers and trainees, which allows trainees to be highly trained and qualified for safe professional practice.

1) The New Institutional Accreditation:
- Filling out the Institutional Accreditation Application Form (click here).
- Submit the Appointment Letter of the Designated Institutional Officials (DIO), signed, stamped, and dated by the CEO of the health institution.
- Filling out the Institutional Accreditation standards (click here).
- Reviewing Program Accreditation Standards (click here).
- The Institutional Accreditation fees (Fifty thousand Saudi Riyals) which includes program accreditation fees of the first accredited program in the Training Center in the first year of accreditation deposited to the SCFHS Bank Account. It is possible to be equivalent to twelve thousand and five hundred Saudi Riyals yearly.
- Apply for Program Accreditation (click here).
- Filling the Agreement of regulating the payment fees of Institutional and Programs Accreditation (click here).
- Filling the Virtual Institutional Accreditation Survey Visit Form, if the visit will be a virtual visit (click here).
Steps:
- Complete all Institutional and Program Accreditation requirements.
- Paying the Institutional Accreditation fees (Fifty thousand Saudi Riyals) and it is possible to be equivalent to twelve thousand and five hundred Saudi Riyals yearly. Fees is deposited to the SCFHS’s bank account, the official name of the Healthcare Institution should be shown when paying the fees, and a copy of the deposit receipt should be attached with the request.

2) Applying for adding a new Training Site for an Institutionally Accredited Training Center:
Requirements:
- A letter signed, stamped and dated by The Designated Institutional Officials (DIO).
- Filling the form of addition for training site to training center (click here).
- Updated Institutional Accreditation Standards Form indicates the Added Training Site(s) and the Addition of a New Training Site Application to an Accredited Training Center Form Viewing the institutional accreditation standards. (click here).
- Filling the Virtual Institutional Accreditation Survey Visit Form, if the visit will be a virtual visit (click here).
Steps:

(No additional Institutional -Accreditation fees are charged for the Addition of a Training site)
3) Amending the name of an Institutionally Accredited Training Center:
Requirements:
- A letter signed, stamped and dated by The Designated Institutional Officials (DIO) at the Training Center.
- Training Center Demographic Data Modification Application Form (click here).
Steps:

4) Amending The Appointed Designated Institutional Officials (DIO)at an institutionally accredited training center:

- Designated Institutional Official Demographic Data Modification Form (click here).
- Appointment Letter of Designated Institutional Officials (DIO)

5) Withdraw Institutional Accreditation of the Training Center:
- Filling the Institutional Accreditation Withdrawal upon the Training Center Request Form by the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) at the training Center. (click here)
- Sent the request to the Institutional Accreditation Email (inst.accreditation@scfhs.org.sa).
(No additional Institutional -Accreditation fees are charged for Withdraw Institutional Accreditation of the Training Center)
General Procedures for Institutional Accreditation Services:

Receiving and reviewing the request and ensuring that all requirements are fulfilled.

Coordinate an Accreditation visit to determine the Institutional Accreditation Standards are met (If required).

Review the Institution Accreditation Service requirements to the Institutional Accreditation Committee for its recommendations (If required).

Issue an Institutional Accreditation Decision and send it to Training Center.
